Bledel, who starred as Rory Gilmore on "Gilmore Girls" for seven years, has been cast as the female lead in Fox's comedy pilot "Friends and Family." The series, based on the BBC series "Gavin & Stacey," follows the long distance budding romance of a couple whose romantic relationship is constantly disrupted by their friends and family.
