During April 5-14, these stations located along highways and major roads are instructed to turn on only necessary lights, according to PTT executive Saran Rangkasiri.

All drivers of the company and business partners are subjected to alcohol test. All vehicles are checked and driving plans are plotted to avoid congested roads. The in-vehicle monitoring systems are installed at all trucks to keep records of drivers? behaviours.

"We have arranged the "defensive driving course" to logistics companies, to raise awareness on road safety. This message will also be extended to our partners, for the benefits of all road users and the general public," said PTT senior executive Nattachart Charuchinda.
