Sonic 4: Episode 2 Speeds Onto Android

published: 2012-06-28 09:17:45

Anyone who knows Sonic the Hedgehog knows that he?s a the kind of guy who likes to get around. If you?ve got a gaming console or a portable device, he?ll be there with a quickness. That holds true for his latest game, too. Sonic 4: Episode 2 is completing the circuit, finally speeding its way to the Android Market and giving one big, whopping, hairy-blue middle-finger to the iOS circuit.

The announcement was made during this morning?s Google I/O conference and reiterated on the Sega Blog, likely delighting speed-hungry Android users the world over. So how quickly can you get your Sonic on? How?s about right now? I told you the guy was fast.

The Android version of Sonic 4: Episode 2 can be downloaded for $6.99. You?ll get the full single player campaign and both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi co-op. That's not a bad deal but it's interesting how mobile game prices are slowly climbing up the ladder of expense.

Anyway, that additional player might come in handy as, in Episode 2, Metal Sonic and the sinister Dr. Eggman have formed an unholy alliance. Now Sonic and his trusty sidekick, Tails, must spin, dash and jump their way through worlds filled with diabolical robot enemies, sneaky traps and enough loop-the-loops to make you dizzy.

Owners of both Episode 1 and Episode 2 will also gain access to a special ?Episode Metal,? offering an exclusive scenario featuring Metal Sonic as he explores four reworked zones from Episode 1. For more information, user reviews, or to purchase the game, head on over to the Sonic 4:Episode 2 Google Play page.
